Application and Acceptance of the Terms
These Terms apply to all web-based PDF conversion and editing tools provided by PDFNavi (the “Company” or the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service immediately.
Eligibility and Restrictions
The Service is intended for users aged 14 or older.
You may not use the Service in jurisdictions or for purposes prohibited by law.
Provision and Changes to the Service
The Service is provided in a form that can be used immediately in a browser, and some features may be available without an account.
The Company may modify or discontinue features for system maintenance, security, performance improvements, or policy compliance. Given the nature of a free service, no warranties are provided regarding availability, fitness, or continuity.
User Content and Rights/Responsibilities
You must have the lawful rights necessary for all files and data you upload or process, and you must not upload unlawful materials or materials that infringe others’ rights.
The Service temporarily copies and processes files only to the extent necessary to perform the requested processing (e.g., merge, convert, edit) and does not use file contents for commercial purposes.
- You bear all legal responsibility for any third-party rights infringement, disputes, or damages arising from your use of the Service.
- If you cause harm to others intentionally or through gross negligence, you may be liable under applicable laws.
Prohibited Activities (Acceptable Use Policy)
Actions that undermine the stability or security of the Service or infringe the rights of others are prohibited.
- Automated bulk requests; scraping/crawling that causes excessive load
- Vulnerability scanning or intrusion attempts; distributing malware or spam
- Transmitting illegal, obscene, or hateful content; processing others’ personal data or confidential information without authorization
- Infringing intellectual property such as copyrights; attempting reverse engineering or source code analysis
- Circumventing, tampering with, or disrupting the Service or network components
Violations may result in suspension or blocking without prior notice.
Fair Use and Rate Limits
To provide stable quality for all users, the Company may set reasonable limits on throughput, file size, number of concurrent jobs, and the like.
- Large-volume conversions or abnormal repeated requests may be automatically delayed or blocked.
- Limits may be adjusted with prior notice if operationally necessary.
Intellectual Property
Trademarks, logos, UI elements, source code, documentation, and other intellectual property related to the Service belong to the Company or its licensors.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reverse engineer beyond what is permitted by these Terms and applicable law.
Third-Party Services / Open Source
The Service may integrate with third-party infrastructure, analytics, CDNs, and the like, and the terms and policies of those services may apply separately.
Where open-source software is used, the applicable license terms will be followed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is,” and the Company disclaims all express or implied warranties, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data.
Unless there is willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service during the most recent three (3) months (or KRW 0 if the Service is free).
Indemnification
If third-party claims, disputes, or costs arise due to your breach of these Terms, infringement of rights, or unlawful conduct, you must indemnify and defend the Company and cooperate in the defense and resolution.
Suspension and Termination
The Company may restrict use or block access without prior notice if a violation of these Terms or law, a security threat, or infringement of others’ rights is confirmed.
You may stop using the Service at any time, and if account features are available, you may withdraw by closing your account.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes may be brought before the competent courts.
Where mandatory consumer protection provisions apply, those provisions will prevail.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek to resolve it in good faith through consultation.
If resolution is difficult, the dispute may be resolved through a judgment by the competent court, arbitration under commercial arbitration rules, or other reasonable procedures.
Feedback
Ideas, suggestions, or feedback you provide may be used without any confidentiality obligation and without any obligation to compensate you.
Notices
Important notices may be delivered via website announcements, in-service notifications, registered email, or other reasonable methods.
Changes to These Terms
The Company may amend these Terms due to changes in the Service or law, and material changes will be announced in advance through reasonable means (e.g., website notice or email).
If you continue to use the Service after the notice of amended Terms, you are deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
